Preventive digital care

Reduce avoidable operational risk before a fault becomes a business interruption

Routine maintenance cannot remove every risk, but it can improve visibility, identify neglected issues and keep agreed website components under regular review.

Maintain

Apply scheduled WordPress core, theme and plugin updates using a controlled process appropriate to the selected plan.

Check

Review backup status, uptime signals, SSL expiry and other selected indicators before small issues are overlooked.

Test

Test agreed customer-facing functions, such as a contact form, where included in the selected care plan.

Assist

Use the defined monthly support allowance for eligible minor work that fits the plan and available time.

Report

Receive a maintenance summary or report showing completed work, notable findings and recommended follow-up.

Three monthly plans

Choose the level of maintenance, checking and response your website needs

Each plan covers one eligible WordPress website. Final suitability, scope, access, backup arrangements and payment are confirmed before onboarding.

Support time is a monthly allowance, not a bank of hours

Included assistance is used only for eligible work accepted within the selected plan. Unused time does not roll over, has no cash value and cannot be combined across months. Larger work is assessed and quoted separately.

Which plan fits?

Match the plan to the website’s role in your business

The right plan depends on how actively the website changes, whether it generates enquiries or orders, and how quickly you need routine support acknowledged.

Essential Care

For a stable informational website

Suitable when the website changes infrequently and the main requirement is routine updates, backup-status checks and basic monitoring.

Business Care

For an active enquiry-generating website

Suitable when contact-form operation, security alerts and a modest amount of monthly assistance matter to normal business activity.

Priority Care

For a more operationally important website

Suitable when you need a broader support allowance, performance review and a faster acknowledgement target during UK business hours.

Business continuity, explained carefully

Digital Care supports preparedness and recovery planning, not uninterrupted operation

Continuity depends on hosting, domains, third-party services, suitable backups, account ownership and timely client decisions as well as routine website maintenance.

Digital Care contributes

Routine oversight and earlier visibility

  • Regular attention to agreed maintenance tasks
  • Selected monitoring and backup-status checks
  • Documented findings and recommended follow-up
  • Defined assistance within the selected plan
  • A clearer route into incident recovery when required
Digital Care does not promise

Guaranteed availability, security or recovery

  • Continuous uptime or uninterrupted website operation
  • Prevention of every attack, failure or data loss
  • Guaranteed recovery from every incident
  • Immediate or round-the-clock emergency response
  • Control over hosting companies or other third parties
Controlled onboarding

We review the website before accepting it into a care plan

This protects the service from beginning with unknown faults, unsupported software or unsuitable access and backup arrangements.

Request a review

Provide the website address, hosting details, current concerns and preferred care plan.

Shared responsibility

Good website care depends on timely access, decisions and provider cooperation

The accepted service terms confirm the final responsibility split for the website and selected plan.

MEG provides

The accepted maintenance and support scope

  • Scheduled work included in the selected plan
  • Selected monitoring, checks and testing
  • Use of included assistance for accepted minor work

  • Reasonable access control during service delivery
The client provides

  • Timely approval where a change carries material risk
  • Business-content accuracy and legal compliance

Work outside the plans

Major changes and specialist incidents require a separate scope

Digital Care is deliberately bounded so routine work is not displaced by an unrelated project or complex incident.

Quoted separately

Projects, migrations and material development

  • New pages, redesign or substantial layout work
  • New functionality, integrations or custom development
  • Hosting, domain or email-platform migration
  • Major WooCommerce configuration or catalogue work
  • SEO campaigns, content writing or accessibility certification
  • Third-party licences, subscriptions and provider charges
Incident or specialist route

Recovery, compromise and complex faults

  • Emergency incident recovery
  • Malware forensics or account-compromise investigation
  • Penetration testing or formal security audit
  • Complex database repair or specialist data recovery
  • Legal, regulatory or compliance advice
  • Faults controlled by a third-party provider
Response expectations

Response targets apply during stated UK business hours

Normal service hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 UK time, excluding applicable UK public holidays. Acknowledgement means that the request has been received and reviewed; it does not mean that every issue will be resolved within that period.

  • Essential Care: within two UK business days
  • Business Care: within one UK business day
  • Priority Care: within four UK business hours
  • Targets remain subject to the request fitting the accepted care scope
Urgent incident?

Use the recovery route for a website that is already failing

A care plan is not a substitute for incident diagnosis. If your website or business email has a defined active fault, begin with Website & Email Recovery.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Digital Care & Business Continuity

Does Digital Care guarantee that my website will never go down?

No. Monitoring and routine maintenance can reduce risk and improve visibility, but no provider can guarantee uninterrupted operation. Hosting failures, attacks, third-party services, configuration changes and other events can still affect availability.

Can any WordPress website join immediately?

No. MEG first reviews suitability, the technical environment, known faults, access and backup arrangements. Outstanding recovery, updates or compatibility work may need to be completed before monthly care begins.

Are hosting, premium plugins and licences included?

No, unless a written proposal expressly says otherwise. The client normally maintains hosting, domain registration and valid theme, plugin and third-party licences. These costs are separate from the care-plan fee.

Does included support time roll over?

No. Included assistance is a monthly service allowance available for eligible work within that month. It does not roll over, accumulate or have a cash value.

What counts as minor assistance?

Examples may include a small content correction, a simple configuration adjustment or another bounded task that fits the existing website and available allowance. MEG confirms eligibility before using the time.

What if an update causes a problem?

MEG uses a controlled update process appropriate to the plan and hosting environment. The response depends on the cause, available backup, access and scope. Complex recovery, incompatible custom code or third-party faults may require separate work.

Can I cancel or change plans?

The applicable start, renewal, change and notice arrangements are stated in the accepted service terms. A change of plan may require a scope and suitability review.
